Mailwasher Problems

Sun Oct 06, 2019 9:54 am

Ever since I installed 7.12.6 it quit sending spam to Spamcop, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it and still didn't work. After I reinstalled it I notice it is only checking 1 mail account out of seven. So I uninstalled and reinstalled 2 more times but that didn't help at. I'm lost as to what could be wrong.

Try sending some logs.

Go Help >> Send Support Logs >> enter a brief note like 'emails not checking, spamcop not working' >> in the Ticket Number field enter chris >> Send Logs >> reply back here once sent so I can check they arrived OK.

Same issue with me after the update or on or about that time frame. Reporting to Spamcop does not work although it appears to work. I don't get a reply from Spamcop.net like I usually do. I check my spamcop account setting and they are fine. I check my settings in Mailwasher for Spamcop and they are set correctly from what I can see.

Do the same, sending some logs.

For what it's worth... I'm used to getting a notification when someone replies to my post. I don't see that option with this forum software. Is it available somewhere to be setup?

Great, thanks.

The board should email by default, you can check the notifications set here ucp.php?i=ucp_notifications&mode=notification_options

MailWasher is getting this error when trying to use the SMTP service.
Error: authentication failed: Authentication failed

Try going Settings >> Accounts >> Outgoing >> Advanced >> check the option to use the same settings as Incoming >> Save.

Well this appears to have done the trick. I'm sending reports to SpamCop again. Thanks for the help. Still wondering how this setting got changed in the first place since I know I didn't do it.
