Hello,
I'm new to MailWasher and this app is just what I needed!
One question I have is regarding the profanity list and it's purpose... When activated does it just blur the email text or does it also mark the mail as spam?
Thanks!

Re: Profanity list
Hi there
It's just a blur effect, it won't use those words to determine spam or good.
When you train/classify emails as good and spam, it takes the most interesting words in those emails for learning instead, they may be the same in the end.

Re: Profanity list
Thanks for the quick reply. If that's the case then would it make sense to build a custom filter using all the words in that list? My thought was that with a custom filter it would mark those as spam immediately. Whereas if I rely on training the Bayesian filter it might take a long time to get everything on that list filtered out. Is that a good assumption?

Re: Profanity list
Generally speaking you should start seeing results once around 150 emails have been trained. MailWasher does come pre-trained with some words, but every user is different so it's always better to rely on your own messages.
I would personally let the Learning try first, and consider tweaking with Custom Filters later.
