Here is a list of my settings:
friend list = never mark for delete
blacklist = auto delete
origin of spam = auto delete
first alert = auto delete
spam ratings:
friend list = 0
blacklist = 0
origin of spam = 0
first alert = 0
auto delete if -78
In summary, I only use the spam rating for the bayesian filter.
So today I received a message from someone on my friend list. The message has a rating of +101. This message went to my recycle bin. Why?
Here is the breakdown of the evaluation:
learning = score +101
friend list = Yes, score 0
blacklist = (no)
origin of spam = Yes, score 0
first alert = (no)
custom filters = (no)
I expect this message to not be deleted because the sender is in my friend list and I have "never delete" enabled. never is pretty clear to me, it means never. so apparently there is a problem here...
is the "delete" setting from my origin of spam causing it to delete? if yes, they what exactly does the word "never" mean in the friend list "never delete"?
please explain friend list "never mark for delete"

Re: please explain friend list "never mark for delete"
That sounds more like a bug, as I would not have expected that email to auto-delete. Will need to do some testing on that.
For now, switch off the auto-delete for the DNSBL servers. If the email isn't on your Friends List and if MailWasher does not think that email to be good, then the bad message will still automatically delete from the Spam Rating option you have set.
