Display Options for UNSELECTED email

When I set the background colour for good and spam emails etc, they work fine - but they only apply to SELECTED emails.

I want ALL of my emails classed as good to be set as black font on a green background, but I can't do it with the latest version of Mailwasher - only the selected one is set this way - unselected are on a white background.

I used to be able to do this with older versions and it's driving me nuts.

If I can't fix it I'm going back to an earlier version.

Unfortunately no, we don't have that option in this MailWasher. We can look to add it, but the programmers are swamped right now so it will take some time.

Thanks for confirming what I feared. I was beginning to go mad, thinking I was missing something obvious.

I can't understand why it was changed, the old way made much more sense. When you look at all the emails you need to be able to see at a glance which are good and which are spam.

What version of MWP do I have to revert to in order to get this basic functionality back - and how do I do this?

Oh wait, I misread your first post.

I thought you were referring to just the font colour on selected email.
From the main MailWasher screen, click Display Options near the top right >> check the Brightness slider. If it's set to near 0 it will behave as you describe.

I've got brightness set to zero. It makes no difference.

Whatever setting I choose only applies to selected emails - unselected emails are displayed as black font on a white background, whatever setting is chosen.

So spam, neutral and good emails all look identical - if they are unselected

I can't imagine how anyone thought this was an improvement in functionality?

No, you need to set the brightness higher.

I can live with that, although I notice one minor niggle.

The colour options for spam and neutral force selected emails to have a white font - good emails can have black font.

Personally I hate white font on a dark background. Black font on a light coloured background is so much easier on the eyes.
