Stll can't log in to Mailwasher

This started ages ago. It's very frustrating.

I have checked and re-checked my settings but can't see anything wrong.

I use Yahoo mail.

What should I do to get this working again?

That site is talking about "apps". I don't have any "apps".

Yeah MailWasher counts as an app. Try generating an app specific password and see if using that in MailWasher works.

I had Roboform generate a password for Mailwasher, but that has made no difference.. Strangely though, if I make a change in settings, such as changing from IMAP to POP , the server test is successful. But I still get "Failed to log into POP3 server" when I Check Mail.

Oh, that's interesting. I assumed it was a password failure, that behaviour where it accepts the logon then fails later implies some other issue.

Can you try sending me some logs, Help >> Send Support Logs >> enter something like 'as per forum' in description >> in Ticket Number enter chris >> Send Logs >> reply back here once sent, so I can check they arrived all OK.

Thanks, got it OK but the logs aren't showing any attempt to check the account.
Can you Check Mail on the account, then fire another set for me please.

OK thanks, got the 2nd set of logs.

It almost looks like there is a specific email that MailWasher doesn't like. I would first try removing the account from MailWasher >> restart the program >> then add the account back in >> this gives it a kick in case there is anything cached that might be causing the issue.

If you check the account in your email program or webmail, is there any message that looks out of place, something like a missing field or otherwise badly formatted message that could be causing MailWasher trouble.

You say also if you switch to IMAP >> Save >> it validates the logon OK, but still won't load any emails ?

I have tried removing the account from, and re-installing to, Mailwasher.

I have also changed the server to IMAP.

Check Mail invokes the green thing in the bottom left of the window. But that's all that happens.

Problem solved.

I had a program, the name of which escapes now, which was supposed to something clever with MailWasher, I don't remember exactly.

Anyway, it can now try to be clever in my Recycle Bin.
