Under Help >> User Files >> cache >> how big is the MWP.db3 file ? If possible if you could ZIP and email me that to forum@firetrust.com as well.
This file doesn't contain passwords.

Cheers

The file has been sent. Sorry this has been so slow, work has been incredibly busy lately.

Got it thanks, looks all good, nice and clean etc..

Can I ask then for the power settings, I'd like to compare against my test machine and see if I'm missing something on reproducing this.

Open a Command Prompt https://www.wikihow.com/Open-the-Comman ... in-Windows
Copy the following command, then back in CMD right click to paste, hit Enter

Code: Select all

powercfg.exe /q > "%UserProfile%\Desktop\current_power_plan_settings.txt"
That will create a desktop file current_power_plan_settings.txt, if you can email me that.

In the last couple weeks, the issue has actually gotten worse. Now I've been noticing that legitimate emails and spam are getting their headers duplicated/mixed up, so that in a few cases, mailwasher deletes the good email as spam, but keeps the spam. Filtered based on the incorrect headers.

Still struggling, the power settings are near bang on mine, and totally unable to reproduce the issue, the programmers are struggling as well.

If you remove the account, restart MailWasher, add the account back, it immediately comes right doesn't it, and messages match as they should ?

Here's a sample, I get something like this multiple times a day now. More that I don't catch, I'm sure.
The email text matches the header, until I either scroll down to force it to download more, or click 'view in html'. Then it downloads a different message entirely. This sample shows an example of such behavior

I removed the account, restarted mailwasher, and added it again.
For now, everything is correct. (as far as I can tell, with 200+ emails. Hard to comb through every one of them.

After removing and re-adding the account, it worked fine for a while, but now it's doing the same thing again.

And getting worse every day.

Now it has progressed to not deleting emails randomly. I note that all of the emails not deleted, are misidentified. If I refresh the email, it downloads the 'real' email, and then is able to delete it.

Even more fun. Not only does Mailwasher link the wrong header to body, it's putting the header from good emails on bad, and headers from bad on good emails. This is making mailwasher delete legitimate emails, as it thinks they're bad, and keeping the bad email, that it thinks is good. It's even auto-deleting some without notification, because it attaches filters to the wrong headers.
Are we just ignoring this now, and I need to find software that works?

I've just bought Mailwasher to replace an old version and am getting the exact same issue with 7.12.57.

If there isn't way around this issue, I'm not going to be using the product.

Are there any updates?

I have found that making sure to exit MailWasher before shutting down or restarting the computer has decreased this problem a lot. Once in a great while, I still have to change from POP3 to IMAP and back again (be sure to save each time) to clear the cache and eliminate the problem.
