I just gou the new windows updates (Patch Tuesday), seems like they were major upgrades. Sine then 2 of my computers with mailwasher slows down to nearly a stop. Th problem shows up after a few minutes of doing things. Restart makes the problem go away for a while.
The reason I think mailwasher is a possible suspect is:
1. When I shutdown to restart a pop up shows saying can't shutdown due to mailwasher running
2. on restart everything works fine
3. If I shutdown mailwasher, the problem doesn't happen
4. I have checked for viruses and such
5. CPU Memory and Hard drive are not overloaded
Is anyone else having this issue?
It could also be a microsoft problem, but getting them to respond is impossible.
Are there possible fixes?
Thanks,
John

Re: Windows slows to a stop
I'd start with a .NET Repair, reboot afterwards https://www.microsoft.com/en-nz/downloa ... x?id=30135
Could also be worth running a CHKDSK https://neosmart.net/wiki/chkdsk/

Re: Windows slows to a stop
I ran scandisk, no issues detected.
I just ran .NET fix and restarted, will wait now and see if the issue comes back.
Will update thread with results.
BTW one of the updates was .NET 3.5 and 4.8 KB4552925

John

Re: Windows slows to a stop
It has been 2 days since running the dot net fix and both computers seem to be running OK.
Odd because dot net fixer only came up with 2 fixes, both dealing with shutting down services and restarting.
Thanks for the help.
