Blacklist Sender, same for Domain. Good, bad, can't do both?

Wed Jul 29, 2020 1:20 am

Hello. When I get a bad mail I Blacklist both sender and domain. Sometimes when I hit WASH they don't go away. So I finally Clear the list as I get wearied with looking at bad mails.

Can both be chosen, sender/domain or is one better than the other.

Thanks much! jackdashack ":-}

Blacklisting the domain is more aggressive. Suppose you get a spam email from @gmail.com if you have a lot of legitimate people that email from GMail, then blacklisting that domain is not a great idea as that will tag all GMail senders that aren't on your Friends List.

When you do the blacklisting, is the delete column getting checked ? On Wash Mail, MailWasher should be deleting all emails marked for delete. Is this not happening ?
Instead of clearing the list, hit Check Mail again, do the messages then disappear ?

Thanks so much and sorry for the delay. I just posted again today. 18 days left I am wondering if I am advantaged with MailWasher.

On this post I think I've got it figured out. And your advice is spot on. Thanks jack ":-}
