Login to Sync on desktop

I know this has been posted about before, but I didn't see any solutions for the current version and didn't want to necropost.
Settings > Sync > Account > Login, use the credentials that work on mailwasher.firetrust.com, and I just get the spinner for a second then nothing else happens.

Is there anything that can be done about this, or do I have to wait and hope they finally fix it in the next version, whenever that is?

We still don't know the cause of this issue, we've made some improvements, but as you know not yet fully resolved.
The URL that the logon attempts to connect to is
https://auth.firetrust.com/auth/login which I assume you can connect to also. You should see a reply like
code 404
message "Not Found"

It doesn't look like a normal 404 page, but that's more or less what I'm seeing.
I see a choice of JSON, Raw Data, and Headers, The JSON "tab" has:
code: 404
message: "Not Found"
Raw data is: {"code":404,"message":"Not Found"}
Are there any work-arounds, like being able to export from the client and import into the browser or mobile versions?

No work arounds I can think of sorry.
I have a copy somehwere already, but under Help >> User Files >> can you send me the file SyncSettings.xml to

Can you try replacing the file you sent me with the one attached.
Have MailWasher closed when you copy the file into the folder, restart MailWasher and try logging in again.

Closed MailWasher (made sure to exit and not just minimize), copied the old file just in case, replaced it with the new one, restarted MW, tried to log in... and got the same result, the little spinner and then nothing.
I double-checked that it's the same credentials that work on the web version. Nothing new in the error log.

Damn, worth a shot.
Will have to get programmers to add some more logging into this problem.

Has there ever been a solution to the problem listed here?
I'm a new lifetime user of MailWasher and it is not letting me create a Firetrust login. When clicking on "Create", it blinks and then stays on the same window with the "Create" button available.
I did what was suggested previously in this thread and entered the listed URL into a browser and I got a 404 error. Specifically, the error when going to "auth.firetrust.com/auth/login" is "{"code":404,"message":"Not Found"}".
I would like to sync my desktop accounts to my phone but if I can't create a Firetrust login on my desktop, that isn't going to work unless someone has another option.
