The reason for the error is MailWasher is sending a logout command, but then receiving more information relevant to checking, that's not expected. When the delete session is started, it's getting immediately kicked.

I would expect a restart of MW would clear the problem. You might want to hit STOP when you first start MW, check the Leah account manually, then see if delete works. Just to save loading all the mails.
If that still fails, I would remove the account, restart MW, add the account back.

If I recall you aren't running any email AntiVirus software, if you were I would try disabling the email scanning module.

I also note the Phil account is sometimes getting a bad logon message. For the most part it's working, but on a few occasions I see the server respond "S: -ERR Unable to log on".

Unfortunately no further information is being supplied with this error, could be a temp server hiccup. I found this on the mailenable site, which is possibly relevant, it is a slightly different error, but the only post I could find about periodic password failures. Could be worth checking assuming you have access to such things.

"Go to Servers > Services > POP. Right-click and select Properties. Select Advanced Tab and check the option "Allow concurrent mailbox access".
