Mail retrieval not recognized

Mail retrieval not recognized

When I click on the button to go to my email (eM Client) it brings it up and the emails are now displayed in the client.
But MW continues to display the current emails as if the emails were not read in the eM.
When I click "Check mail" the previous emails would disappears.
Is there something wrong with my eM Client setup?
Can anyone help me?

Do you know if your eM Client is set to access the account with POP or IMAP ?

I'm having trouble finding this myself in my free version, I can't even figure out how to add an account :/
