Hi there.
I have had to reinstall Maiwasher Free following a systems crash and have two questions please.
Firstly, how can I display the Thunderbird icon (my default mail client) at the top of the Inbox tab as before. At present, I have a generic icon which does link to TB.
Secondly, how can I make a backup of my settings etc. All the information on line tells me to look for "Help>User files", which appears to relate to the Pro version, not the Free version and thus doesn't seem to exist.
Any replies will be much appreciated.
Regards
Phil

Hi Phil
Under Settings >> General >> Washing Mail >> you should have ThunderBird listed in the drop down you can select. Selecting that should display the icon, if you have set a manual path to ThunderBird that will display the default icon I think.
For the backups, go File >> Export >> set to include Learning, give the file a name and save location >> Export. This creates a .MWP file that can be run to reimport the settings. Optionally under Help >> User Files >> that folder and it's contents is everything you need.

Re: VERSION 7,12,54
Many thanks for the prompt response.
I have Thunderbird set under Settings >> General >> Washing Mail >> as you suggest but the "Mail Program" icon is not the TB one. How do I set I manual path to TB please?
I have added the path for the back ups to my process, so thanks for that.

So in the drop down where ThunderBird is set in MailWasher, select Use Other Application and browse to the location of the ThunderBird install.
It will be something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe"
Select this and click Open >> see if that sets the icon.
Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm sorry to say that it hasn't worked.
The actual path on my PC is "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe".
This is not a major issue for me but it would be nice to resolve the query at some point.

Odd, what version ThunderBird are you using ?
MailWasher tries to extract the embedded icon from the ThunderBird executable, so it should be working.

Re: VERSION 7,12,54
Thanks again.
I'm using the free version 78.10.1 (64 bit). My wife also uses the free version but it's 78.10.1 (32 bit) and hers shows the TB icon correctly. Both PCs are using Windows 10.
