Not a big problem, but I'm wondering how the "check for updates" mechanism works. I regularly go through the dance of Help->Check for Updates to be told that I have the up to date version. I then check the forums only to find I'm two or three minor releases behind.
What is it that would trigger a message that an update is available?
It's not a big deal, it's been doing this to me for many years; so just curious.
Thanks
Steve

Re: Check for updates check
Hi Steve
The current version on the updater is 7.12.54, there are some later version but the changes are so minor they aren't worth pushing out to all folks.
If you were on a version earlier than the one above, then go Settings >> General >> Updates >> click Go To Folder >> delete the file updates.aiu >> that will reset the updater and should pick up any newer versions when released.
Cheers

Re: Check for updates check
Excellent, that fixed it. The latest entry in that file was for 7.2! I also saw an "updates.aiu.part" file which I deleted.
Much appreciated.
