Cannot login to Sync

Hi all,
This has been mentioned before on the forums I think but I don't have a solution. If I try to login to sync with mobile, nothing happens after I've entered the login details. It just "hangs". The behaviour is the same whether I enter correct login details, no login details, or random data. On going to mobile I see that "no email accounts exist". I'm a new user and this has never worked for me. Can anyone help?
