Outlook.office365.com

I am trying to log-in to my
IMAP
Outlook.office365.com
993 TLS
mail account on MailWasher using an App Password

I have followed the instructions below, however, with the App Password generated, I still get a message
Failed to connect to server.

How do I solve this and connect to IMAP?

Many thanks

Go to https://aka.ms/SetupMFA
1. If you do not see this page then you may not have MFA turned on and you will need to speak to your IT Administrator.
2. At the top of the page, choose App Passwords.
3. Choose create to get an app password.
4. If prompted, type a name for your app password, and click Next.
5. Choose copy password to clipboard.

I have the exact same problem. After the upgrade I can not retrieve my office 365 account. Also not with the OAuth option. App passwords are genereated but after entering them the connection to the server always fails.

I already had tried that. It was even the first thing I did. Only after failing I tried the app password route. But whatever I enter there it still gives me the error that it can not connect to the server.

When using the main password in MailWasher go Settings >> Accounts >> Incoming >> Advanced >> set the Secure Connection type to OAUTH >> Save.
You should then be prompted to logon to the account via a web popup and give MailWasher access to the account.

Did you tried to set the Secure Connection type to OAUTH?
