Re: Nvidia Overlay FPS Counter and Mailwasher Problem
Odd, try this.
Attached is a file that will disable MailWasher from using the video card for hardware acceleration. Run this registry patch, restart MailWasher.
Also attached is the patch to enable the hardware acceleration again, if you need to reverse this change.

Great. Leave disabled then, you likely won't notice any performance decrease.

Re: Nvidia Overlay FPS Counter and Mailwasher Problem
I found more about what did this on my Windows 11 desktop. I have an application where one function works with Shift + Y. It also will work with Windows + Y. Randomly, in a series of pressing this key the FPS Overlay will come on. Then other applications will have the FPS Overlay displayed as well. Subsequent keypress will not turn it off.
Other applications may have trouble working while this is on, one being Firefox. The machine needs to be rebooted to get back to normal.
I disabled the hardware bit and Mailwasher does not display the FPS Overlay and works normally while the machine is in this condition.
I have not found the source of the FPS Overlay nor can I find pictures of it the way it looks here.
