Hi

Ever since I updated to 7.12.97, when I go into accounts and click on one, after a few seconds it says the settings have changed even when I have changed nothing.

Even if I save the changes the next time I go back in it does exactly the same.

I have Win 10 Home.

Sounds like something has got corrupted, somewhere.

What happens if you delete the account and then set it up again?

unfortunately that doesn't make any difference.

OH yeah, it keeps forgetting my IMAP folders too, and resetting back to Inbox only.

I guess I'll be deleting the whole thing and reinstalling the previous version and setting all my accounts up again.

Under Help >> User Files >> if you right click on the Accounts.xml file and select Properties >> this isn't set to ReadOnly is it ?
If it is, uncheck and click OK. Sounds like MW is having trouble writing to that file.

no the file has r/w permissions. Just to be sure I gave everything in that folder full permissions and it made no difference.

If you go into Settings >> Accounts >> then straight back to the Inbox tab do you get this message ?

Do you select to Discard Changes or Save Changes when you get the prompt, or does this not matter ?

If I quickly move between inbox and accounts (under settings) nothing happens. But if I left click to select an account then a few seconds after, without doing anything, the account is marked as changed. When then I then go back to the inbox it asks me if I want to save the changes. It doesn't matter which option I chose because it will do it all over again when I go back to settings.

Can you send some logs, although we don't log much around this area of things so I'm not too hopeful it will reveal what's going on.

If you first recreate the issue where you get the prompt about your account settings.
Then go Help >> Send Support Logs >> in the description copy/paste in the link viewtopic.php?p=161013#p161013 >> in the Ticket Number field enter chris >> Send Logs >> reply back once sent, so I can check they arrived all OK.

I noted there was a log for each account, it was the 'th*******ws' account that was marked as changed this time. Although the other accounts have done the same on earlier days so there might be some info in those logs depending on how far they go back.

Seems like MailWasher isn't correctly parsing the folder listing for the GMail causing issue, if you go into the IMAP tab for this account and hit Refresh for the folder list, recheck your Spam folder >> Save.

Also does MailWasher display a folder named 'Success' ?

Isn't not just the gmail account this happens with, but others too. I've tried refreshing, saving, and it seems OK (and I get mail from all the IMAP folders I ticked) until I go back into the settings tab - then the IMAP folder problem returns. I'm not sure if this is the cause or the symptom.

I can't see any folder called 'success'. Do mean under the 'mailwasher' folder in the user area?

OK, first try going into Settings >> Accounts >> Incoming >> for each of your accounts click the Advanced tab >> uncheck the option to Move Deleted Items to Folder >> Save.
Once you've done that for all the accounts, restart MailWasher, does the problem persist ?

When I then switch that back on it comes back. Nice catch.

I'd still like to be able to move my deleted emails to the trash folder for the account, rather then just being immediately deleted, in case I wanted to check something. This used to work, will a fix be put into place?

Although I suppose I can look at the deleted emails in the recycle bin in Mailwasher.

I've just updated to 7.12.119 and this problem is still outstanding.
