MWP 7.12.97
POP3 set up in Mail client
MWP set up with IMAP
My domain uses Fastmail

I just had something happen...

I ALWAYS check MWP first before downloading email

I right clicked on a piece of spam

Blacklisted domain

opened my mail client and downloaded my email... And the spam message was downloaded to my computer even though MWP is set to auto delete blacklisted emails.

I went ahead and unchecked, " HIDE MESSAGES MARKED FOR DELETE" Just to be safe.

Why wasn't the email automatically deleted when I marked the domain as to be blacklisted?

That's a good way to infect someone's computer with a virus.

I instantly deleted the email when I saw it was downloaded and emptied my trash can.

Yes, sounds like you didn't click Wash Mail there? marking the email for blacklisting wont do anything to that actual email (except to mark for deletion) until you click Wash Mail.

The auto delete (for blacklist) would only work on future emails from that sender , OR if you clicked C to clear the message list, then checked mail again.
