MW no longer picking up spam in my Gmail Spam folder. It used to.
The only thing that changed is that I had to get a new app manager passcode.

Re: MW no longer picking up spam in my Gmail Spam folder
I think you are confused because to the best of my knowledge, MailWasher never picked up spam in the gmail spam folder. For one, there is no need. Gmail already tagged it and moved it out of their inbox. And for another, because Gmail already moved it out of the inbux, there is no way for MW to see or fetch it.MW no longer picking up spam in my Gmail Spam folder. It used to.

Yes, you can set MW to see the junk mail folder, but you need to setup the gmail account in MWPro as a IMAP account as opposed to POP3 type. (IF not already)
You can change this within MWpro under Settings>>Accounts, click your Gmail account, click the Incoming tab, and beside "Server Type:" select IMAP in place of POP.
Click save to save changes.
(if already using IMAP, skip the above step)
Then, click the IMAP tab, scroll down to "+ [Gmail]" click on that to expand it and select the "Spam" Folder.
Save changes, restart MWPro and you should then see these emails in MWPro.

Thanks gingbat. I use POP so always forget about IMAP.

Re: MW no longer picking up spam in my Gmail Spam folder
I am having the same issue in yahoo. MW is not picking up those I blacklisted in MW, those I used wildcard blacklist addresses in MW, and emails sent to yahoo spam folder (even after imap set up and spam folder checked).
New user. What am I am missing?

Yes, MW cannot stop yahoo from sending mail to it's spam folder, as the spam checking is done on the server (where MW checks for mail) as they arrive.
However, if you set MW to show the spam or junk folder as described in one of my previous posts above, you should still see these in MW...?

Re: MW no longer picking up spam in my Gmail Spam folder
No, I have already checked and rec-hecked: The spam folder (imap set and folder spam is checked in MW) is checked.
They completely bypass MW and are still bombarding spam folder in yahoo.
I've checked every MW setting including weights, added to MW blacklist, added MW wildcards and still MW does nothing.
The entire reason I'm trying out MW is because in less than a month i'm reaching the 1000 limit of blocking spam emails in yahoo and yahoo has no wildcard option.
So far it has not helped at all.
Maybe just doesn't work in conjunction with yahoo's spam filter.

OK, probably the best option is to send some logs to support, refer to this post in the notes field under Help>>Send Support Logs, then click send....

Re: MW no longer picking up spam in my Gmail Spam folder
Thanks, all AND sorry to have hijacked this post.
I will do both suggestions.
In the meantime, MW caught 6 but missed 1 in the yahoo spam folder after I enabled learning to high Bayesian sensitivity. I also added some of the wildcard expresssions to the "profanity" list just in case that could help.
Progress! Feeling more optimistic.

Last comment about a hack to make MW in yahoo mail.
If you have been bombarded by a certain domain or address, create a yahoo filter for a new folder.
Refresh your MW IMAP folders list and click on the new one. Voila - catching them now.
(And with the combination of several days of learning with high bayesian sensitivity.)
