Hi,

I have a filter that marks any emails sent in the future as Future email if I choose the Override Delete Action to "Always mark for delete" this works a treat.

However if I change the override delete to Auto-delete this email it does not delete the emails .

Screenshoot shows the area that has the issue for the Auto-delete, or is there also another setting I need to change ?

An auto-delete filter always takes effect on mails which are not already present on the grid.

Did you test after restarting MailWasher . . . or, after clearing the grid to see the effect during a mail-check?

clearing the grid made no difference but closing the app and reloading it and the future emails are gone.

I normally leave mailwasher running and up all the time does this mean that future emails "ones with sent date in the future" will not appear in the grid as they get deleted when check mail runs ?

so I not see them at all (which is better).....

Glad to see you got it working.

The rules for this particular filter will continue to work as intended without MailWasher having to be restarted — if you do carry-out some major operation such as restoring the user files manually . . . only then, would it be recommended to exit MailWasher fully (and, terminating all background MailWasher processes.)

Update just for info this is still working a treat 28 future sent emails where deleted today alone.
