Yes, pretty odd alright, if you do uninstall/reinstall, ensure you backup first via File>>Export....

Hi
Sorry for late reply.
I did the obvious first and placed a shortcut within the Starting App folder, then I had a call and had to leave computer.
Today I switched it one and it is fine - so the usual Windows 'glitch'!
Thanks and fixed.

Yes, if it reverts back to NONE for startup, windows must be blocking access to the file MW saves this to which is the file: "Startup.xml" it 'should' look this:
You could try exiting MW, right click on it's shortcut and click "Run as Administrator" change the startup option and save settings>>exit, restart MW and see if it is retained then?
OR, edit that file manually so it looks like the bit in bold above. (with MW closed)
That option is line 93 on my system.<ReportServiceSettingsPlacement>
<Vertical Top="1" Mid="6" Bottom="2" />
<Horizontal Left="1" Mid="1.6" Right="1" />
</ReportServiceSettingsPlacement>
<EnableCustomBorder Colour="#FF204A8F">True</EnableCustomBorder>
<EnableFontSmoothing>True</EnableFontSmoothing>
<StartupOption>LaunchOnStartup</StartupOption>
<RecycleBinCleanup>23</RecycleBinCleanup>
</StartupSettings>
