Freezing on Evaluating

Have been using Mailwasher Pro for years and latest Mailwasher Pro version in use but recently it freezes on Evaluating. Have to hit stop and then emails download. Searching around the web and this forum tried various fixes which did not work until I found the post by Ulysses where it was suggested to uncheck First Alert. On doing this problem solved but am I missing spam checking/alerts by having First Alert unchecked and should I just keep it unchecked?

Great, glad to hear you got that resolved, and yes, just leave FA disabled, currently having a lot of issues with this, still unsure where we are going with this function as yet... cheers!

This problem has been driving me nuts for a few days now, and have spam piling up, and wasn't able to get anywhere close to clearing it out.

Disabled First Alert, and life looks rosy again...
