Since late last night, I have been getting this error every 10 minutes -
Description: An unknown error has occurred. MailWasher is unable to determine the cause of this error.
Diagnosis: <EVENT><NAME>MWPEXCEPTION</NAME><ID>a27322bb01f3bd02ac812c417028cacd</ID><DT>2023-11-12 13:46:37</DT><MWPEXCEPTION><UID>Exception a5d1cf3d25311a26c64d7c098c4385a3</UID><AID>Acct284566120</AID><SOURCE>MWPfetch::FetchThread()</SOURCE><MESSAGE>StdException - Unknown exception</MESSAGE><ADDXML></ADDXML></MWPEXCEPTION><ORDINAL>0</ORDINAL></EVENT>
The s/w checks 3 accounts and it doesn't matter which one I try to access.
There are no problems in accessing the mailboxes via Thunderbird (which also checks my 4th account - Gmail).
I have restarted the Win 10 PC and there has been no change. Even my Smartphone mail Apps work OK.
Can anyone help please?
George.

Same here. I tried to send the error-log to the support.
Description: An error has occurred while sending support logs.
Diagnosis: <EVENT><NAME>MWPNOTIFY</NAME><ID>fd1914e6928b0fea1f120388a3f71146</ID><DT>2023-11-12 15:20:32</DT><MWPNOTIFY><UID>Notifiy c8aa40291bfe34a2de79e23faae20150</UID><AID>MWPapp</AID><NOTIFYID>41</NOTIFYID><ADDMSG>Logging send log lines failed</ADDMSG></MWPNOTIFY><ORDINAL>0</ORDINAL></EVENT>
We had similar problems in September. Then we got a new configuration file, that solved it. I tried also to aktivate the old configuration file. But no success.
I wanted to de- and reinstall Mailwasher, but no connection to the Server so I was not able to download the program. It looks like they have a serverproblem. So all we can do is sit and wait.

Re: Mailwasher Pro 7.12.173 has started giving an unknown error condition
I AM GETTING EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM. Completely uninstalled and re-installed, started with fresh user data folder, etc. Account access working fine in other apps.
I'm concerned that there is this dependency on Firetrust servers for basic mail check, if that's where the problem is. And why such an inscrutable error message.

Firetrust is aware of the problem and is working it. See viewtopic.php?f=50&t=58513

Are the Firetrust Servers in Australia? If so, could this have been caused by the massive comms outages a few days ago with millions of Australians going without telephone and broadband service?
All their systems are now "digital" with no copper telephone circuits.

All Speculation, but I would expect it is something within their code, 3rd party library , some license they have, or a certificate as the issues arose at pretty much at a specific time.

Re: Mailwasher Pro 7.12.173 has started giving an unknown error condition
Very sorry about the problems Mailwasher Pro is currently having, (all mail checks fail, corrupt database messages etc) our developer is looking into what is happening now, unfortunately the problem occurred on Sunday afternoon when no-one was available to look into what was happening, was entirely unexpected, and we're not even sure how its possible as yet.....!
Still currently unsure of the cause, but hope to have it resolved soon.
In the meantime, options are to either not use MW for the meantime, OR, use an older version as below.
If you wish to to do this:
* please uninstall your current MWPro,
* cancel the question asking why you are uninstalling
* click YES when asked if you wish to save your user data,
* install this version:
http://cdn.firetrust.com/downloads/mail ... _12_25.exe
And it should work fine.
If you could also please do not respond to this unless still having problems with the above version and that'd be appreciated.
Cheers!

Thank you very much. I'm having the same thing in Hawaii knowing it's not limited to regions of the world. Uninstalled the current version and installed the version you provided via the link above.

Same problem here too. Fails on all email checks. It was working properly on Friday.
