Hi,
I cannot seem to find the way to stop emails which are coming in to MW being copied to my Thunderbird before I can sort them in MW.
I had a crash of Thunderbird and lost everything, don't know how, but MW worked fine then, now MW gets the incoming, but the emails are appearing in Thunderbird at the same time as in MW.
Thanks Barry

Yes, this usually means that either you have Thunderbird set to send/receive automatically for your email account, or you are clicking Get Messages in TBird to download mail and this downloads all email on the mail server whether it is spam or not.
-----------
Note that only Thunderbird can cause mail to be downloaded, MWPro cannot effect how your email program works, and it does not move or transfer your emails anywhere, it just shows you whats on your ISP's mail server then you open (or MW opens) your chosen email client for it to send/receive from the same mail server like normal....
------------
If you have Thunderbird set to check for new mail every XX mins, to change this, in Thunderbird, right click on the account name in the L/H pane in, click, Settings>>Server Settings, uncheck, “Check for new Messages every XX mins”
If still problems, also uncheck: "check for new messages at startup" AND "Allow immediate server notifications when new messages arrive"

Of course, sorry.
BTW interesting that IMAP incoming settings are slightly different.
