The default accounts are all checked every time MWP does the periodic checks. That's as expected and makes complete sense. If you check a non-default account by pulling down the In Tray menu and clicking one non-default account it is checked as expected. However, that account then joins the queue in the periodic check which is somewhat of a nuisance. Is this a bug or is there some way of checking a non-default account so that it won't be checked periodically, i.e. just once? Restarting MWP clears the stuck account check, but that shouldn't be necessary I'm using v7.12.188.

Yes, that is normal operation, if you don't want the non default accounts checked with every mail check from then on, just click C to clear the message list. then only the default accounts will be checked again...

Thanks for that hint. Took me a while to figure out where C was hiding It works sometimes... C is ignored e.g. if you've used F5 to check mail, or if you've had the File, View or Help menus displayed and possibly other conditions. I haven't dug deep

yes, sorry about that, usually I write "C on the keyboard" ! and yes, the message list needs to be in focus at the time you click C or it wont work alright.... cheers!
