I have used MailWasher Pro for years (since before it became a commercial product). One of the features I liked most was the fast load time and proecessing speed. Unfortunately this new version is a resource hog. Even when restoring from hibernation, it takes more than a minute for MWP to fully activate and become functional.
Fortunately I still have the older version loaded so I have tested initial load times and restoral from hibernation times for both versions and the older version wins hands down on every test.
I'm running a P4 2.4 GHz, 2 GB RAM with Win XP Pro SR3.
Anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks

Re: Resource hog
Post this in the Mailwasher 2010 forum? :-)

There is some discussion down there on speed already, looks like a lot of the startup delay is the Windows .Net stuff and beating on the disk drive.
Resuming from hibernate sure could be faster, please post your complaint on this down there too so that they know folks want faster resume speeds.
