Gmail requires OAUTH2 + SSL/TLS otherwise it fails could please add OAUTH2 as an additional security entry for the incoming server connection?

Yes, working on it now! hope to have it added very soon, if not for the upcoming update, definitely for the next. Currently gmail accounts will work when you use a gmail app password however.

My Mailwasher Pro login has also failed this morning after many months of working ok. Hope the login problem is resolved or it will soon not be worth using the programme.

PS Cannot get Mailwasher to work either by using my Google gmail app password

Sorry but not sure what this means?
My Mailwasher Pro login has also failed this morning after many months of working ok.
Are you referring to MWPro itself not logging into any site? or just your gmail login within MWPro?
If gmail, yes, if you change your gmail password, you will need to create a new app password as the old ones wont work.. (sometimes also google block an app password for no apparent reason) this from google:
To help protect your account, we revoke your App Passwords when you change your Google Account password. To continue to use an app with your Google Account, create a new App Password.
Tip: If the app offers "Sign in with Google," we recommend you use that feature to connect the app to your Google Account.
Directions for this here;
https://support.google.com/accounts/ans ... -passwords
Setup the new app password and enter that into MWPro and you should be all set....?
NOTE:
If you cannot find the option for an app password, AFTER logging into gmail, try going directly here:
