I have noticed that ion startup, MW2010 does not show the status bar.
If I resize it a tad, it appears.
Anyone else see this?

If you save the screenshot as a JPG file it should post, the forum doesn't like BMP files, you might be hitting a size limit if you were trying JPG.

I've upped the limit now of attachments to 2MB

OK. I like to host them myself, but here goes:

- Invisible status bar
- MW2010nostatusbar.jpg (172.71 KiB) Viewed 13767 times

- Visible status bar
- MW2010statusbar.jpg (177.92 KiB) Viewed 13767 times
Does that help?
The way to get the status bar to show is just to resize the window slightly.
Yes, as far as I know, I do have the latest video drivers for my graphics card.

That's odd, in the first screen shot you have two borders, in the second it's just the one and that extra gained space is where the status bar shows up.
Why would you get two borders

No idea. That's how it starts.
Nothing else does that.
The new MW2010.1.0.4 does not fix this.
No big deal though.

MW does have two borders, but we overlay one on top of the other, in this case though it's putting our border within the stock windows border. Under Help >> User Files >> could you post your contents of startup.xml

This what you want?
PS I like the move to xml settings files. Even though I find them hard to fathom.

XML files can be confusing but looking at them in a web browser can make them easier on the eyes and for editing Notepad++ (I think) was recommended.
In any case I love them compared to having to dink in the registry!

Forgot to ask, what resolution is set on your machine.

Dual monitors.
One, where MW usually sits, 1280 X 1024.
The other, 1680 X 1050.

Exactly, which makes it much easier to create regular backup copies of settings. Just copy the xml files.
