New user of MailWasher Pro. Why an I still getting lots of email with gmail that ends up in the Junk Email folder in gmail in emClient mail program?

Are we supposed to turn off gmail's junk handling and let MailWasher do it?

Addedum: I turned off mail synch in emClient as per instructions and I am still getting junk in the gmail junk folder. Is this an indication that Mailwasher is not doing anything? I don't understand it well enough yet, but this is disappointing to me.

Oh. I turned on checking for spam in the gmail IMAP folders for junk and spam.

That seems to have fixed it.

Maybe a mention of soemthing like this in the help/manual would be benerficial.

Where do I turn this on? Can you tell me?

Under Settings>>Accounts, click the account>>click the IMAP tab, choose the folders you want MW to show there.

Note only IMAP accounts can do this, not POP ones, (account type at the top of the Incoming tab)
