Unable to Customize Sound in MailWasher Pro 2010

I turned off signatures a while back after I found enough of them aggravating but I did miss the location you posted, sorry, back to on for now. Since we are on different Windows versions I'll not be any help it trying to duplicate your problem.

Where was the sound file that wouldn't play originally located, which version of Windows are you using?

FYI, not everyone can see signatures in post on this forum as they are optional, each user has an on/off switch in their profile.

I can see your signature. I can see my signature. I have set mine to be visible. (It says that I am on Windows 7.)

On the issue at hand, it seems that MW is happy if the sound file is in the new location.

Can't figure out why it's not working, I created same path also on Windows 7 and it seems to work, or are you on a Standard User account ?

We'll add a test button into the Notifications section too

Me too.

The solution is to have better rules for signatures. Otherwise you end up with this sort of confusion as people throw up their hands and turn them off.

Most of those I see here are very restrained.

I recently saw another bout of signature angst elsewhere. I see them as a way to inform, not a way to show off with smart (but probably juvenile) aphorisms or snazzy graphics. It is especially annoying when the two come together.

In which case, your advice, which I welcome and have found useful, runs the risk of being handicapped by a shortage of possibly useful information.

We have already seen one example of space taken up by information that was readily available to anyone who had not turned off signatures.
