After loading the new improved vers, it still doesn't work. Good thing I didn't delete the old MWP.

Error: Failed to log into POP3 Server

Description: Failed to login to server for your John Main Computer account

I'm using the same settings as the old MWP, my server password is one letter and seven numerals ONLY.

Did you check the advanced settings as well as the basic ones?

Tried that, used a number of combonations in the choices with no luck. Also tried the Auto Detect Account.

Failed to connect to server. On every try. I'm going to return to the Old vers MWP, new one is a dud.

I'm very suspect about a program that requires a rebuild with-in days of a launch.

Thanks for your time.

I wouldn't be, we found a lot of issues that never occurred for beta testers. The fact we get a release out in a few days suggests we're working pretty hard to resolve the new problems found.

Feel free to send me the logs for new version, go Help >> Send Support Logs >> enter beta as the Ticket Number >> Send Logs.

I'll take a look

Can't do that, :frown I removed the new vers. And will rely on the more reliable old vers.

So add it back, it is simple enough to do and if you use it, even not as your main mail processing program you'll find things that need improvement or that you'd like to see added.

Some of the beta testers have been able to do that for a couple of years now and are quite happy with the improvements we've seen. The testing crew is still submitting multiple enhancement requests every day along with bug reports and just general impressions on how well things work. If you aren't using it and don't make suggestions don't blame the rest of us if it doesn't do what you want and how you want. You don't have to be a tester to help improve things, just let the Firetrust crew and other users hear what you think needs improved.

Great, visit the 2010 suggestion site, create an account and start suggesting stuff. Give the search a try or just browse through the current suggestions.

Take a look at the completed suggestions to see an example of what has made it into MW based on user input too.

I'm sorry but I have not got the time or knowledge to figure out the reason the new MWP will no connect to the server. If a program is meant to do something it should not require that I have knowledge of how it works, all I should have to do is turn it on and turn it off . . . that's all I should have to know. Either it works or it doesn't. As I stated before the old vers of MWP works when I turn it on and the new improved vers doesn't. Goodbye MWP 2010, Hello Old vers MWP. I'll stick with something that works!

A PC is not a TV you cannot just switch it on and hope it works 100% of the time, you should expect to put in a little effort!

There are millions+ of combinations of hardware/software/ISPs etc... You cannot expect a software house to write a program that handles all situations especially when loads of problems the are not in their software, not even Microsoft does that!

Nothing arrived. Can you open the new version if still installed, go Help >> User Files >> right click the autosupport.eml file and select >> Send To >> Mail Recipient >> and email it to [email protected]
