I can't get my E-mail to transfer from Mailwasher to Outlook. I've tried everything I know how to do, but the won't get into my Outlook 2010. I used the old mail washer for as many years as they've been in business. I ve never had this problem before. Any thoughts? I just downloaded the new Mailwasher today.

First, Mail Washer does not transfer E-mail. All msgs reside on you providers mail servers. MWP downloads only a portion of each msg depending on your user Settings, evaluates that portion and make a recommendation to you regarding the status. You review the result make the necessary changes to the evaluation. Then when you tell MWP to Wash it will send commands to your providers mail servers to delete and msgs that were marked for deletion then MWP will start Outlook for you. When that occurs you must initiate a Send/Receive in Outlook to download the remaining msgs to Outlook and delete them from your providers mail server.

The command to do the Send/Receive in Outlook is not currently transmitted from MWP and must be manually done by you.

Beta testers have developed a suggested interim solution application to perform that function and FT is looking at how best to implement the solution.

I too am having this problem intermittantly

like just now - ive got about 20 good emails to transfer into my outlook and i do know to select send and receive in my outlook and its just
not bringing the emails across from mailwasher to my outlook

it doesnt happen all the time but it sometimes happens

First there is no transfer of email from MWP to Outlook or any other e-mail application. MWP only downloads a partial message from the mail server to perform the evaluation, classification and washing (deletion from server of those so marked).
When MWP opens Outlook you need to manually initiate a Send/Receive in Outlook. Use the UI button or F9 function key.

What may be making it seem intermittent is that you may have Outlook configured to periodically do an automatic Send/Receive. I would suggest that you turn that off to insure that MWP can do it's job before Outlook reaches in and causes confusion. If you need help with the settings let us know.

Activity has been started in an effort to have MWP not only start you mail application but initiate the get mail command automatically. Stay tuned to the Forum.
