Noticed that 1.0.4 was released. When I tried hitting update it said I was up to date. I closed the program and restarted and it still didn't recognize there was an update.
I ended up downloading from the site to get the updated version.

Re: No Auto Update
Yeah we seem to be getting a lot of these. Not really sure why...
Under Settings >> General >> Updates >> what's the folder set to ?
Also if you open the folder, do you see anything else other than updates.aiu
Thanks

Re: No Auto Update
I may have been the first person to moan about this. (Some say it is genetic.) So here is what I have:
C:\ProgramData\Firetrust\updates
Created 2010-07-8 (before I installed MW2010)
Modified Friday 18:44
As well as the file you mention, I also have:
C:\ProgramData\Firetrust\updates\updates.aiu.part
Created yesterday. Modified today.

Re: No Auto Update
Is the updates.aiu file set to read only ?
The part file is the downloaded file, which is then supposed to overwrite the original.....if this fails it doesn't seem to error out, it then reads the existing file and reports it being up to date.

C:\ProgramData\Firetrust\updates
The .aiu file is the file is the only thing there and it's not read only.
