Hi

Installed 2010.1.0.4 on 17th July and since then I get an error event in the event log every time I start MWP.

The event source is "Perfnet" and the log is...


Unable to open the Server service. Server performance data will not be returned. Error code returned is in data DWORD 0.


Please note that, out of choice, I have the "Performance Logs and Alerts Service" disabled and wish to keep it disabled.

Presumably this doesn't cause Mailwasher to stop functioning though, it's just a logged error ?

That's correct. MWP works ok, just the error log is peppered with "Perfnet" errors.

Sure thing. We query for logging purposes, it's sometimes useful to tell things like this. I had wondered if the programmer had some different thread handling in case more CPUs were present, but he's just confirmed there's nothing different.
