Downloading messages!

Fri Jul 23, 2010 11:33 pm

I sit here and wait patiently for MWP 2010 to download messages and all it does is stay stuck at message 6 of a certain amount. Small icon nearby just spins but it is not downloading anything past the 6th one. Any ideas to fix this or do I need to go back to my regular mail program? I purchased MWP thinking the bugs were out of it this time.

If you stop the mail check and try it a second time does it finish?

If it didn't work on a second attempt then try turning off the First Alert tool and see if the download finishes.

It does the same thing after stopping and restarting the check mail. Will try your suggestion on the first alert and let you know.

First Alert is turned off and it is still doing the same thing. It just started this yesterday. Worked fine until then. No new programs or anything added.

How many accounts do you have?

If you have multiple accounts you could try setting the check throttle to the reliability end of the scale, not an issue if you only have one account.

Next most likely culprit is your AV program, can you switch it off for a couple minutes and run a mail check?

Another thing to try is go to Settings, Spam Tools, Origins of Spam and disable them temporarily to see if that is the issue.

You may need to go into your security software and make sure that MailwasherPro.exe and MailWasherProApp.exe are granted full privileges. This may need to be checked after updates are added since the file signatures are different.

Apparently it checks two accounts. AV is turned off with no luck. Another glitch which is why i originally stopped using MW a few years back.

Time to go to the Help menu and send Firetrust a set of logs. It is the weekend there so I'm not sure how quick a response you'll get.

If you'd like to get a response here in the forums put chris in as the ticket number and include a link to this topic and he'll get back to you. If you leave the ticket blank the logs will go to the e-mail support folks and they will mail you a response. For the e-mail folks you need to give them a description of the problem and what you have done to get the best response.

Do you have two accounts that you should be getting mail from?

If so have you checked the settings for both accounts to make sure that they are set up correctly.

I have the same problem, with 4 accounts. First Alert is turned off and it is still doing the same thing. If this is not solved soon     , it does not appear to me to continue to work with MailWasher. Each time a restart is not what I expected an anti spam program.

Sorry for the bad English.

Someone posted elsewhere hereabouts that MW did some strange things to the port settings for their email.

Might be worth checking as a last resort.

Back to doing the same thing. Tried all the answers given. Still no luck. Every time MWPro updates this crap happens. I paid $10 for this? Not much but still expect a little more than have these troubles with each update.
