Freezes won't open/or function
Running win 11 pro, software up to date, Mailwasher pro current version. First when I opened up mailwasher it would freeze and couldn't do anything. Tried shutting down using the X, nothing, none of the functions worked. The only way to close it was using Close Window on the taskbar icon. Now when I receive mail I can't even open the program when I click on the icon. I tried reinstalling mailwasher on top of the current version no difference. Restarting computer resets it for a short time.

Re: Freezes won't open/or function
Yes, often this is a windows .net issue, (MWPro uses this for its display)....
First, run windows update to ensure your PC is fully up to date.
Restart if anything required.
If no better, please try running the repair tool here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-nz/downloa ... x?id=30135
Restart afterwards.

Re: Freezes won't open/or function
Yes, odd the .net fixed it though if this is still occuring, usually if it were a .net issue, that'll resolve it fully...
However, can you please try this first.
Ensure MWpro is closed.
Go to Start, type run (then click the Run file so it runs) then in the ‘Open:’ box type (or copy / paste):
%AppData%\Firetrust\MailWasher
Delete the Startup.xml file and restart Mailwasher....?
if still no good, then yes, you could try a uninstall/reboot/reinstall, ensure you backup first, and also click NO when asked to save your user data, if all OK afterwards, you could try re-importing the backup file you created....
Here's how to backup your MWPro settings:
Open MWPro, click File>>Export,
Click Browse to choose where to save the backup file,
Type a name for it (anything you like)
Click Save,
Then Export.
To restore in future, click File>>Import, locate the file you saved and click Import.
-----------
If any problems with the export option, MW wont start, or your version does not have this, the other option is to save all files from the Help>>User Files folder in MW, if MW wont start, this is under:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Firetrust\MailWasher
(This folder is actually hidden, so you may need to enable Windows to show hidden files and folders under,
the Windows Control Panel, Folder Options>>View Tab>>Select, Show hidden files and folders.)
to restore these files later, just move them into the same location you saved them from after reinstallation.... (with MWPro closed)
