Update 1.0.6 Onwards.

This is strange I updated to 1.0.6 today and one of my accounts times out with several errors though this might be a sever problem,it seems to log on ok but wont download the mail,the other mail accounts look ok but I have noticed that one or two have no SSL log in accounts they have been removed,but at this point I am not to concerned with them its just this one account which is a web based mail from tiscali,mailwasher 2010 seems to confirm connection I can then se bottom left the log in,then the attempt to download for a split second,then it times out.I expect you might ask for the log but here is an example of part of the message.......POP3SocketException - INVALID UIDL ID 1 69 FOR HOST pop3.tiscali.co.uk does anyone have any light on this.

Windows Live Mail can download from Tiscali ok and so can a couple of other mail clients download the mail,its just MailWasher thats the problem and the settings are the same as the the other mail apps.

Rusti or Stan any help would not go amiss.
Just thought I would check mailwasher 6.1 and check this mail address in it,and check for any downloads for this one account above,and bingo MailWasher 6.1 works fine with it,so in my opinion there is a problem with this last download Update 1.0.6 as this mail was ok before the new update,might have wasted my cash on this new 2010 Mailwasher to many problems

I'd say send a set of logs in, put chris in as the ticket number and a link to this topic in the comments, it looks like a UID problem with the server that rusticdog will want to look at and pass to the programmers to sort out.

Actually it might help if you checked the "log protocol" help option and tried the check again before sending in the logs since that captures more log info. Untick it when done if you want.

The replies from the server look....odd. I don't suppose you can create a temporary alias account on Tiscali we could use to check this out further ?

I still use MailWasher 6.5.1 ,as to your quote about this version,I do not think its any thing to do with this one causing problems as the simple reason is having noticed the problem with MailWasher 2010 I started up MailWasher 6.5.1 and added this email account >B**b** Tiscali ****< this was after I was having the problems and it works fine there,this all happened after the 1.0.6 update though I did have this email entered in Windows Live Mail prior to all of this,as you can se most of whats in the logs,you can use this email Tiscali alias account,I can PM you the password for it and change the password when you've finished with it,where is your PM or do you have an alternative way to collect it,or you can use my board registered account mail to send for it thanks again..

Edit: This might be a UIDL problem in MailWasher 2010 or it could be a problem with the servers that don't recognize this software,but I must say that Tiscali have been taken over by Talk Talk or AOL or some thing like it so this might be causing this error in it,but not in my other mail programs.

In MailWasher 2010 ver 1.0.6 I can se bottom left when this account is called it states log in 11 messages found for a split second and then this error.

While your waiting for RD, did you double check you account list. The reason that I ask there was another issue where a duplicate account got set up from an import of an old version on the users system and the UID and PW were wrong on the dupe.

I think it is relating to a problem with the way MailWasher interprets the UIDL. We recently made a change for ATT email servers which had I think irregular spacing in their UIDL replies, it might be it's impacted Tiscali now..

Mailed you,thanks for at least having a look at this and hope not to many of us land you with these problems, hope the weather is fine for you,there is one more bug with MailWasher 2010 I would like you to look at when this is sorted thats if you have the time

Don't wait, report all you find as soon as you find them, no telling where the programmers are going to be working and they might get to your additional problem(s) a lot sooner if it is on the list when they are working in that area for another issue.

I have downloaded the Beta this seems to have solved the problem so will be waiting for the next official update to se if there are any more problems with it.
The other thing that has caused problems is when one opens programs or applications you can have as many as deemed necessary >opened< provided your PC is up to it,these then can be closed at random from the task bar at the bottom of screen if not needed.
Now if I open MailWasher 2010 full screen 1024x768 which is normal here for my LCD Monitor,then if I open (>Microsofts Windows Live Mail<) as well it crashes MailWasher 2010 in other words it removes it from the screen so I DON'T have the option to close it from the task bar at the bottom any more so I have to restart or find the icon next to the clock to start it up,thanks Rusti for the quick service you have given to me and the other users that might have had this UIDL problem,and you might be able to enlighten me with this other query thanks again.

Good job so far with update 1.0.10 no known problems to report yet,I use 15 mail accounts with different servers all is well thanks... Filters work fine and Wash Mail does not cause a problem etc etc..
