unread emails

Thu Dec 26, 2024 5:36 am

i have had mailwasher pro for over ten years now and it always worked quite well with little to no intervention needed.
but today i realized my accounts settings were missing a few emails.
checking these email accounts i discovered a number of unread emails i did not know about and so i wanted to add these to my mailwasher account settings to safely check what arrived.
after doing so, they still don't show up at all despite being unread.

i find this weird, because ever since the l;ast major update version, mailwasher keeps showing emails in my primary account despite them being read. i always have to select them and clear them out for them to actually go away.

but actual unread emails are not showing up at all in the accounts i just added, and so i find that confusing.

as well, since adding the new accounts i now get a microsoft authenticator popup each time mailwasher wants to check the email for that account, when it never did that before- once i set that up it always just remembered it was a trusted application.

kind of getting some unusual things happening with mailwasher now when it used to run smoothly for me.
could use some help sorting this out please :)

Yes, I'd recommend you delete and re-setup the account first, that may kick Microsoft back to allowing MW access all the time (when asked this time) and also re-set the display settings...

Please delete the problem email account first:

Settings>>Accounts, click the account>>Remove Account.
Click File>>Exit to close MWpro, then re-open it.

Then setup the account/s again:

In Mailwasher Pro click, Settings>>Accounts>>Add Email Account, type any name for this account you like, enter your email address and click Save.
Click the Incoming tab and click "Sign in with Microsoft", follow the prompts and you'll be asked for permission to allow MW access to the account, ensure you agree to this.
If it shows successful, click Save again on the outgoing tab, refresh folders on the IMAP tab (IF asked) and you are all set.

If still not showing all emails, just check your settings under the Incoming tab>> Advanced for this account that you have it set to display emails from the correct date range, eg, that the emails are not older than the date range currently selected.... if no better, just try selecting MW to show unread emails (at the same location) just to see if they display then....
