I've lost the preview pane, and cannot get it back. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, that doesn't work... I tried it before I posted!

When I first installed the upgrade, I pulled the divider down to the bottom of the screen, in the obviously mistaken assumption that I did not need all the tutorial stuff... I guess that was when I lost the preview pane, and I cannot find the divider to pull it up again... maybe a reinstall is the answer.

Yes... reinstall (with the "Repair" option) got the preview pane back

If the pane isn't completely gone you can slowly move your mouse over the bottom line in the grid and it will flash blue where you can click to get it to open again.

You can keep the pane open but hide the graphic help stuff with both a tick-mark in the top right corner of the graphic and a tickmark in the menu.

I'll get the guys to add a minimum size so the Preview Pane cannot be resized out of view.

Thanx, rusticdog... I guess it doesn't matter how foolproof you make it, there's always a bigger fool to confound you (or in this case, there's no fool like an old fool... sigh  )

It's quite alright, the minimum size should really be there as it would be easy to do not realising.

I'd hate to give up much screen space to a minimum size as I drag it down quite often that being more convenient than turning it on and off for me.

If you do go with a minimum something like this wouldn't be too bad.

I don't think that this is a good idea. The current implementation does not permit losing the "thin blue line" and as long as it's there it works like the other apps that I user. I can slide it down out the way or bring it back. Not sure what the problem is but using up vertical real estate doesn't sound good. :thumbsdown :thumbsdown :thumbsdown

It needs to have a minimum size so you can at least see where it went, at present it's confusing and many could easily not realise it's resized out of view rather than closed. The minimum size would be just enough to see where it is, simliar to Stans post.

Maybe if you make a change so that when you double click the status bar is will open/close the preview pane, for people who want to see more of the grid temporarily or have a hotkey.

+ 1 (another vote for a minimum size to the preview pane - the older version had this functionality.)

Users who prefer to have the 'preview pane' completely out of the way can always click the X to the top right of the 'preview pane' in order to switch it off and out of sight. 8)

And when we can figure out how to get the Hotkeys showing in the menu and working properly, then CTRL + F6 is also the quick show/hide

That's much easier than resizing all the time :) Is there a list of Hotkeys anywhere?
