Noticed that each installation of MailWasher 2010 causes its shortcut to get un-pinned from the start menu - have so far observed this happen with the following versions:-
1.04
1.06
1.0.10.0

Post installation, I've had to pin the shortcut back to start menu manually after due edits.

This occurs as a result of the installer completely removing the old version and then installing the new one. You can try a workaround that some of us have been using for the desktop. Just rename the shortcut on the Start Menu to something other that what it currently is. I use My MWP. If you do this on the desktop you will want to untick the option the next time the installer runs so you don't get a dupe.

Righto, I'll give this one a shot with the next installation (actually, it's merely a slight nuisance - can live with it.)

I've renamed my start-menu MW entry and the desktop icon then I do not have the upgrade put in any menu/desktop/startup entries. Not only do they stay where I put them but the aggravating XP new program installed popup isn't triggered.
