Yet another deletion problem...

I have 4 email addresses all with gmail. I use Outlook 2007 for one, Eudora for one and Thunderbird for two of them. Have been using MW for years with no problems using this same set up. Have been trying out the new Pro and for the most part like it. Works great with both Outlook and Eudora but does not play well with Thunderbird. All accounts are set up exactly the same way both in gmail and within MW - believe me I have checked this and double checked it. I have gone through and read this board for the past several days and have tried the suggestions made but none work. Basically MW is not deleting the mail after I have gone in and read it through Thunderbird. It remains in MW no matter what I do. However, once the email is read through Outlook or Eudora it is deleted on the next check with MW. Is there a glitch between MW and Thunderbird that perhaps I don’t know about?

Windows 7 and running MW Pro version 1.0.4. I have noticed someone on here saying they are running 1.0.6 but when i check for updates it says there are none. I have paid for the pro version in the past and will have no problem paying for this version along with the annual fee but only if it will work correctly with all accounts. I have too have tried other programs and MW really is the best out there.

Please note: Mailwasher only interacts with your mail servers and does not effect the mail within your email clients.

To see if MWP has deleted mail properly, do this: Press C then Y, to clear the grid, then re-fetch your email.

I did clear the grid and when i checked for new mail after clearing the two that had been cleared came back.

am downloading newest version now. Am assuming that problem will soon be fixed as well.

Ok...downloaded, installed and ran version 1.0.10. Still the same problem. I realize that it is the server (in this case gmail) and not the email client that MW is actually interfacing with. But since all accounts are with gmail and all are set exactly the same (believe me they are!) I would think that all the accounts would then act in the same manner.

It's your email application that controls the deletions of the msgs from the server. The only ones that MWP will delete are those that you marked for deletion and then when you perform the Wash.

Ok again I have downloaded the newest version of Pro. I have once again double checked that all accounts are set up exactly the same way both in MW and in gmail and they are. The only one I have problems with is the one with Thunderbird. The problem relates to mail that has been read not the mail that I have deleted. In using MW in the past (and with my other accounts) once the mail has been read it goes away from MW upon the next check of the mail. However, now some mail remains in MW after being read. Mind you some of it does go away but some stays there. These are all in the same account and same email client. This just does not make sense. On thing I have noticed is that the ones that are staying in MW are ones from actual friends as opposed to newsletters or emails from forums i belong to. The newsletters I get have been "approved" by me both in T-bird and MW if that makes any difference.
