Thanks rusticdog

I'd just like to express my thanks to rusticdog for ALL of the support you've given me through these forums in the past. You've had a rough time of it from me any many other people in the last few months over the licensing of the new version and you've been utterly professional at all times. I'm not sure I could have remained as totally together as you have.

I've been a bit of a hypocrite, complaining about the new pricing model while, at the same time, running the new version. I signed up to MailWasher in September 2002 and purchased the Pro version in March 2003 (along with the now, effectively dead, Benign). I talked as many of my friends and colleagues in to buying as I could. A hypocrite no more, I have uninstalled 2010 and gone back to 6.5; I have no right to complain about the pricing/expiry of the software while using it for free (I got one of the beta tester licenses). I also do not want to drift in to accepting the charges by seeing what happens at the end of the coming year.

I genuinely hope this works out for you and sincerely thank you for all your efforts in supporting me and everyone else on these forums (and I promise not to whinge about the new version any more).

Steve Barnett

P.S.
I really hope that you actually look like your picture on the forum posts.

No problems at all Steve, thanks for your kind words.

I try to keep as level headed as I can with regards to the feedback, especially regarding the new pricing structure. I was against it to begin with (especially when it was even more) but enough people fought that it was at least put to a more acceptable level. That's not saying everyone is happy of course, but I'd like to think we can change peoples minds over time with better offerings and more improvements. That's our challenge as we've changed the rules.

I wish I could post here as freely as I like, but I guess there is a line of professional courtesy somewhere. For example when someone posts about greed, I wish I could respond and talk about the redundancies I've seen here, or other ways we've had to fight the market.

I know we're on the right track we just haven't hit the sweet spot yet. That said, I'm seeing things now that I haven't seen in a long time with Firetrust and that's timely progress. We'll get better and MailWasher will get better for it.

And no, I look nothing like Sephiroth. I dress like a hobo, I smell like a hobo and have an unkempt beard to boot
