Will mail washer work with new Windows 7 Home

I got a new laptop replacement and it has Windows 7 Home premium on it. I am using the mail program that comes with it called Windows Live Mail. I installed the new Mail Washer pro 10 for a 30 day trial. I have this problem that I never had on my other laptop or my desktops using MW 6 pro.
the laptop has to be on or it does not receive any mail at all. When the laptop is on it receives all the mail in MW 10 pro.
I sure could use some advice as to resolving this problem and will appreciate any help.
I don't know if this is a MW problem, a Windows Live Mail problem, or an ISP problem.
My desktop is working fine with the same ISP that is netcom owned by earthlink. The laptop is on wifi home network but my other laptop is working ok on the network as is another desktop. I been in computers for 25 years but this time I am stumped.
Oh yes the new laptop is a HP Compaq Model CQ62 209WM.
I have a paid up MW 6 and also want to know if that will work with Windows 7. I may just delete 10 and install 6 if that will solve the problem?
thanks for any help

I was referring only to the "quoted" information regarding why you think your LT should be downloading messages when it is turned off.

when I turn on another of my computers there are always many email messages that came in during the night and mail washer then downloads them and sends them to my outlook program.
the new laptop only receives emails when it is turned on. Once it is turned off no messages are saved on the server.
That was my question.
My other question is will the MW Pro 6.3 work with the new Windows 7 operating system mail program?
thanks,

Hi Bebop
So you're saying you want emails that you download into Outlook on the other computers, to also download into the laptop ?

We have separate accounts. I don't want email downloaded into desktop to also be downloaded into wife's laptop;
Everything was working fine until the screen on wife's laptop failed so I bought her a new laptop, plugged it in and I thought it was working ok until she advised me that she wasn't receiving a lot of her emails. In checking it out I find that she only receives emails when her computer is on and open. There are none of hers stored on the server for MWP to download.
My desktop is plugged into the router while her laptop is wireless.
Every thing other then mail seems to work ok. gets on line for the internet without problem etc.
Thanks for your help and advice

Her laptop being on or off makes no difference to the emails arriving at the mail server.
Do you have webmail access to her mail so that you can check what's on the server without using her laptop, this will tell you if the emails are arriving.

Take a look at my response(s) in your original post in the other topic.

Your other duplicate thread with my response is here:

Try to avoid duplicate posting since it complicates things for those of us who try to help.
Sound like maybe the old computer is alive and well and in some one else's hands or you new one has been corrupted since.

the wife's old laptop is sitting here on my desk waiting for me to repair it. It is ok other then the screen is lit up but empty.
the new laptop works fine in every way including email except when the computer is turned off or hibernating then no mail is there waiting for it on boot up as was normal with her other laptop and my computers as well.
the new laptop has Norton 360 trial and won't update the dat files until it is purchased with in 60 days. it seems to be doing its job ok also.
I will now look into the suggestions in my other thread.
I still don't have an answer to my question of whether or not the MWP 6.3 will work with windows 7 premium home edition????
thanks to all for your suggestions and advice.

I am running MW 6.5.1 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit with no problems. Running MW 2010 v 1.0.15 in parallel and Outlook Home and Business 2010 as email program.
