Hi all,

Could not see on the index where queries/troubleshooting etc should be posted for MW 7.
MW 5 & 6 are there (note, I am not asking about the 'pro' version)??

Anyhoo, Wondering what would cause an email sent to one of my office outlook accounts, to be displayed, and once 'copied' (as I keep my email on the server), to the email client, it disappears from MW???

It clearly should NOT have disappeared, surely?
Using version 7.15.20

Looking forward to any suggestions towards resolution, of this potential bug.

Yes, MW 7 and MWPro 7 are exactly the same except for the lack of recycle bin and multiple email account support in the free version so I have moved this topic to the correct location.

Re the problem, yes, when using IMAP, as soon as an email is read in the email client, it's removed from MW's view (but still on the mail server) when you check mail in MW.

If you want mail to continue to show in MW, you need to set MW to download read emails:

In MW click, Settings>>Accounts, click your email account, and click the Incoming tab>>Advanced, and ensure that, "Download read emails" is ticked there.

You can also choose how many days you want the program to download mail for.

Note that this is for IMAP accounts only, POP accounts show ALL mail on the mail servers inbox folder regardless.

Thanks once again gingbat. Near perfect response to my query.

I was referring to where queries are directed for MW 7 & Pro 7, not so much the difference in the app.

If this is an imap issue. it also lacks consistency, and MOST do not disappear.

Yes, ALL emails marked as read in your email program should disappear from MW's view upon checking mail or NONE, (depending on MW settings) if only some, check via webmail to ensure those emails are actually marked as read on there?

As possibly the email client is playing up.

If however they are marked as read but still show in MW, first update MW to the latest 7.15.33 from here:

And if still problems, try clearing the cache...

Click Settings>>Checking Mail, click the “Clear Cache” button. (Note that this is disabled until the current Mail check has completed)
During this process the inbox mail grid will be cleared, (NO emails will be deleted though) and when process finished, the mail check will start for default accounts.
