Only way to get Yahoo Mail to work with MW10 is????

I jusr purchased MW10 and actually now think I rememebr why I stopped using MW6 a long time ago.....

So MW10 will ONLY work with my Yahoo mail if I have the Plus Yahoo mail????

I have 3 different basic Yahoo mail accouts that I was REALLY hoping to use in MW10... Is there ANYWAY around this????? I know someone must know...

I have been looking at freepops and Ypops but have not been able to figure out how to get freepops,or ypos + Yahoo + MW10 to all work together...

It cant be that hard can it???

Yahoo has done everything possible to make it hard, they want you to upgrade to the paid plan. You might try searching here and in the v5-6 forum to see if anyone has an answer, it would probably work for either version if there is a fix.

I am not sure what is ment relating to your email with yahoo,is this something new with there mail as I use two mail accounts with them.

These are set as incoming use secure authentication,and none for secure connection in the other box.
This last four weeks or so many IP are changing there ports for emails which is a right tad,I have had to sort the ports out for various reasons which sucks.

All I can say at this point my yahoo mail is free and works fine or am I Missing the point..

Very old free Yahoo accounts were given free POP access, I have one too

One is old and one is last year but I can remember I had to change the incoming and outgoing box as to there settings.

My understanding from my research thus far is US Yahoo is the only one that does this... UK Yahoo POP is still free... Now that sucks to me...

I have never understood this policy. I have several Yahoo accounts, a UK, Australian and some other one whose logon I've forgotten and all offered free POP3 access. It's only US customers that cannot get this.

If worst comes to worst and it detects you are in the US and will refuse to allow you to change it, you could alter your password, send me the details, I could try doing this for you given I'm in New Zealand, then you could set the password back.

Now this is kind of strange but I was able to do this(Set my location to Asia) for 2 of my 3 free yahoo accounts... I have been setting here for an hour trying to figure out why one of my accounts when I change my location to Asia it still dont show the POP and forwarding options.... Uggggg


Also dumb question but once I have POP on my Yahoo, what exactly do I set in MW10 options to use it???? I have tried several things(Including settting the 127.0.0.1(Or whatever it is) but still get failed in MW...

Never mind.. I was able to get POP to work on my 2 Yahoo accounts... Had to delete them from MW and then add them back...

NOW if I could just figure out why my one Yahoo account wont show POP options eventhough I changed my location to Asia...

Just see if it gives you the POP options and if so, set it to POP and include SPAM...
