Since upgrading to v15, the Wash Mail button does wash the mail (remove deleted emails), but does not open Outlook and download emails. The Email Program is set "Use other application" and "C:\Program Files (x86)\FireTrust\MailWasher Auto-Receive Add-On\OutlookAO.exe". Prior to V15, Wash Mail would wash emails, open Outlook 2007 and download emails. Now it does not even open Outlook. Changing the Email Program to Outlook and then using the Wash Mail button causes Outlook to open, but does not download emails. Running on Windows 7 Ultimate.

What is the status at the bottom left after the wash has completed?

Idle

ATM MWP will not trigger your mail client to download, this is why an external application is needed, I have one that triggers Thunderbird and issues a Get All.

This sounds like a problem with the add-on and not MWP, MWP issues a call to the external program

What happens if you launch the Add-on manually, outside of MWP?

When I launch the Add-on manually it does what it should, opens outlook and downloads email. For some reason since V15 MWP is not launching the Add-on.

Does the add-on work if you click the mail program button?

No

Strange My add-on worked in v1.0.15 as it has done in all versions (I'm using v1.0.16 beta ATM). Looking back at the release notes I can not see anything that would affect the launch of one particular add-on.

Try copying the "OutlookAO.exe" to "C:\OutlookAO.exe" and see if that works, this will eliminate any windows folder authority or path name problems.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it was no avail as there was no change in behaviour; and Add-on did not work. About ready to go back to V10.

OK, I've run out of suggestions anyhow

There are other problems with v1.0.15 so going back to v1.0.10 is not a bad idea IMO

Except we never test backwards compatibility so if there is a conflict you'll need to wipe the User Data on uninstall.


I have Outlook at work, zip and email me the addon to [email protected] and I'll take a look

FYI, I went back from v1.0.15 to v1.0.10 without any problems and I kept the same User Data.

Take a look at your security software settings. It may need to grant permission to communicate between the two. Version change can cause this type of problem.
