First, I am unhappy that the email I received inviting the upgrade to 2010 did not make clear this is a beta version.
Installed 2010, it opened on installation OK but when I moved the cursor the PC froze, everything started working at a snail's pace and the error message "Driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered. The recovery lasted for a few seconds and the cycle then started again. Only way to get out of the cycle (Task manager froze also) was to disconnect the machine.
Have a Sony Vaio, core 2 duo, all drivers upto date, Windows completely up to date also.
Tried again and this time the bounds of the application window appeared but nothing else - the desktop still showing through - then screen went black and cycle started again. By waiting ages and moving the cursor a few centimeters at a time before the next crash, was able to disable 2010.
CPU was running a consumption of 96%, no wonder everything was slow.
Help.

I have attached a screenshot of MW 6.5. The settings will have been taken from those for 4.5 I anticipate?

Re: Complete Disaster
Sorry I meant the main Windows Task Bar, with Start button etc...
Either way, give this version a crack, the beta testers aren't cranky about it, so it seems good to go....

I tried uninstalling 2010, closing down, restarting and reinstalling clean. Got as far as finishing the installation, agreeing to run the application and got as far as the bounds of the main window before everything within the bounds went black and the cycle started again.
Will try the suggested download. Don't go anywhere! Or on holiday for the next couple of days!

Re: Complete Disaster
I would double check graphics drivers are fully up to date too, best way to be sure if check the NVIDIA website direct...another user had a simliar issue and it was an old driver that was causing the issue. I can see plenty of posts where this drivers crashes and resets....
Am about to go to bed, but should all this not work, then email me your data folder, zipped probably best to [email protected]
On Vista/Win7 it's
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Firetrust\MailWasher Pro\
