I can't answer the question as to why there is lint in your navel (version upgrade notes) but I do have one little flaw that I was hoping to get addressed:
It seems when I have the checkbox marked to launch Outlook upon Mailwash that it opens a new copy of Outlook. It used to simply bring Outlook up (already being open) and i could download mail. Now it opens new iterations of Outlook every time I wash mail. I've tried unchecking this box but then I have to manually bring Outlook up. Unless I keep an eye on it I sometimes end up with 3 or 4 windows of Outlook running.
Other than this, I love the new interface. Still getting used to it but so far it looks and feels great. Great job!

You need to either put /recycle on the end of the target that launches OL or choose Outlook from the dromdown in:
Settings >> General >> Washing Mail >> Email program
Make sure you click SAVE.

Re: MWPro Opening Add'l Outlook2007's
I checked those settings. In mail washer settings>General>Washing Mail>Email Program, I alread have Outlook selected. I tried going through all the locations where Outlook is initially launched. I have it both my Startup folder and on the quickstart menu bar. In both cases the "target" area is grayed out and says only "Microsoft Office Professional Hybrid 2007". It does not give me the option of appending the target launch instructions with /recycle.
One last thing, I was mistaken about the 3 or 4 iterations of Outlook being open. I thought that's what I saw at one time but further testing shows that it will give me two iterations and no more. But, no matter what,.. if Outlook is already open, Mail Washer will open another copy of it every time I hit the Wash Mail command.
Any other suggestions?

If you select another application, then reselect Outlook and do a save, does that fix it? If it doesn't, Annie's other suggestion of adding /recycle requires you to select the "Use other application" option in the dropdown. After you select that, a box will appear where you can enter or browse for your outlook.exe file and then append the /recycle. Hopefully that should do what you're after.

Re: MWPro Opening Add'l Outlook2007's
Thank you Annie and Michael. I tried several of these suggestions and finally got one that worked,... sort of. It's interesting how Microsoft works. I ended up using the "other application" option and then choosing the Outlook EXE with the /recycle appendix. It actually still brought up a new interation of Outlook but ONLY if I already had one open from my original startup (I have it in my Startup folder). BUT, if I don't bring it up through my startup folder Mailwasher with this new /recycle appendix will not cause a new one to startup.
I used to have Outlook startup from the Startup folder automatically so that its on and working but since I use Mailwasher to check things anyway (and it's in the Startup folder) so I'll stick with it this way.
Thank you both VERY much for your help.

Could this be an issue related to one instance being started for All Users vs your specific sign on? MWP pulls the call for Outlook directly from the Registry.stevenleuck wrote:Thank you Annie and Michael. I tried several of these suggestions and finally got one that worked,... sort of. The Registry Key being used for 64 bit should be here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Clients\Mail\Microsoft Outlook\Shell\Open\Command
