This has happened twice now.
MW tells me update available, so I say install.
It downloads then hangs with an icon with i in it and the word static.

Have to kill the program then check for updates myself, then it starts the install program no problem.

Is there any log to show what might be happening.?

Using windows 7 ultimate

Unfortunately not, the updater is part of the installer package and there's no logging available to us for this.

We're going to try moving to a different system of the updater, so it instead patches files instead of doing a full download. This actually won't make any real difference to the download size, as the updates are always to the largest of the executables, however it should mean that an uninstall of the old version won't be required.
