Blocking spam to Outlook

Tue Aug 31, 2010 5:48 am

Maybe a member of the forum will explain a problem I have with mailwasher pro. I whope so...
I mark emails for deletion and as spam then "wash them." Outlook loads in about 30 seconds.
I go to "tools" for Outlook and "send and receive." I mark "all accounts group" ( I two email addresses.)

The computer downloads the email that I had marked for deletion.
I don't know why, but mail washer does not seem to work for me.

I am using Vista.

Suggestions will be appreciated.

Try this, collect your mail in MW, wash it and get rid of the spam. Now clear the mail grid (type C then reply to the prompt Y) and check your accounts again.

If the mail still appears in MW then something went wrong with the delete.

If the mail does not appear then open Outlook and look to see if the mail is already there, if it is then Outlook is doing automatic checks and needs to be told not to do that.

If the mail isn't in Outlook do a mail check and download the mail, the messages you washed in MW should not appear.

Gary, What version of Outlook are you using?

Also who is your Email ISP?
